PROGRAM
The ride from Utrecht to Aachen will take place via a chartered bus and takes around three hours.
Aachen has no airport but several options for airports close by exist. You could take flights from Cologne, Düsseldorf, Eindhoven or Brussels. The Eurostar train also stops at Aachen central station, as well as several German express trains.
The program of the Post-REM Aachen consists of a blend of cultural, social and wellness aspects. Besides learning something about the city of Aachen itself, you will also have time to connect with the other participants and local Rotaractors. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to relax in the Roman baths or stroll through the city. Please have a look on our Instagram page for the daily program in detail.
Sunday 1 february – Arrival & Kick-off
- Travel to Aachen by charted bus from Utrecht.
- Recovery from the REM and a relaced lunch over billiard to reconnect
- A traditional dinner in the evening together.
Monday 2 February – Explore & Experience
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Guided city tour of Aachen.
- Social project.
- Thermal baths
- laser tag game
- Dinner with local Rotaracters and Rotarians with local wine tasting and pizza.
Tuesday 03 February – Culture & Farewell
- Breakfast
- Centre Charlemagne with a guide
- Farewell lunch
- An optional visit to the historic town hall of Aachen.
